This handy calculator for estimating task durations uses a standard deviation to produce "Expected Time" for tasks, based on "Best Case", "Worst Case" and "Most Likely" values that you enter. The Expected Time can then be entered into project planning tools (e.g. PERT charts). The values in the columns at the right indicate the probability of success given the corresponding durations.
